Oct, 2005 The University of Lethbridge was awarded $1.3 million dollars from the Alberta government, to fund the innovative Alberta Terrestrial Imaging Center. The center, developed in partnership with Iunctus Geomatics Corp will develop and commercialize technolgies and conduct research programmes centered around the unique high-resolution optical remote sensing capabilities of the SPOT constellation of satellites.
Cielo Systems developed the initial proposal for funding and was involved in the early planning and strategy sessions for this new institute.
