I attended the first official meeting of the new Knowledge Management Community of Practice board meeting today - last meeting was very brief and informal, and dealt with introductions, appointment of members, arrangements to be addressed in terms of signing authority for the bank accounts, etc. Members of the KMC can expect to be hearing from me in my new capacity of Secretary.
Today we met at the boardroom of Pacific Coast Information Systems (Thanks, Václav!) In a short hour, we discussed plans for corporate sponsorship, the current status of planning for our next event (KM in the City Breakfast meeting) to be held in late November (stay tuned!), and our plans for member communications.
Summary - good first meeting, ably chaired by our new President; great group of people with lots of expertise, enthusiasm and experience. Should be a fun year - I expect to see progress on many exciting projects. Stay tuned - official minutes, announcements, newsletters, and other noteworthy information at the KMC website: http://www.kmcop.org
